Experiment #238: QuickChickenCurry

This is a super fast, super easy dish to make whenever you're in a hurry.
You need:

  • Whatever is in your fridge. In this case: Chicken breast, cauliflower, broccoli, red pepper, red onion, fresh, finely chopped ginger, green salad and yellow bell peppers.
  • Seasoning: Curry powder (I used a random curry powder I purchased on the supermarket), ground cumin, paprika, salt, pepper, a pinch of cayenne pepper.

What to do:

  • Finely chop the onions and slice the chicken into finger width chunks.
  • Fry the onions in coconut oil, and when they're nice&shiny - turn down the heat and add the chicken and the chopped ginger.
  • Chop the bell peppers and add to the mix when the chicken is halfway done
  • add roughly chopped broccoli and cauliflower towards the end (I like my veggies to be more on the raw, chewy side - not sloppy overcooked limpy)
  • Season to taste
  • Remove the pan from the heat, chop the salad, throw it in the pan to heat it for a few seconds, sprinkle olive oil over and ENJOY <3 li="">

Experiment #239: Red beets with friends

I was studying for my exams and needed a quick break and some grub. I love red beets. I mean, seriously: I love red beets.

I love everything about them.

Did I mention that

I LOVE RED BEETS?

What to do:
1. Grab a red beet
2. Chop it.

3. Boil it for 5-8 minutes.
4. Add ground cumin.

5. Drain the beets by saving the "soup" in your favorite cup.

6. Chop fresh spinach and a bit of broccoli. Add to the mix.

7. Sprinkle with organic avocado oil, salt & pepper

8. Find some frozen berries in the freezer, add a couple of spoonfuls of coconut milk and VOILA:
A three course dinner!
Red beet starter soup
Hot red beet salad
Frozen coconut berries for dessert :)

How to make your own blackboard in just ten minutes

Good morning everyone!
Finally the sun is back in south Norway!

Here's a quick tutorial of how to make your own recipe blackboard (or notes/grocery list/ phone list - or whatever you wish to remember!)

You need:
  1. An old frame
  2. Smooth surface for the blackboard (I used the bottom of an old crate)
  3. Hammer, nails, saw, brushes, black paint (I used dark purple)

How I made my own recipe board in just five minutes:

  • Get all you stuff ready. Cut the board to fit the frame (remember to add a little on the edges so you can fasten it securely)

  • Paint the back of the blackboard in a dark color. Use the hammer and nail the back of the board to the frame, being careful you use small enough nails so they won't damage the vintage frame you've chosen!

  • Hang your new blackboard on your wall.

Aaaaand... You're done! Can it get any easier? Now all you have to do is sit back and relax.

Or make muffins ;)
